Hi, and welcome!

Hi there! Welcome to my blog. So nice that you found your way to this little site!

As the title and photos might suggest, this is a blog about food. What I hope the title brings up in you as a reader, is that the recipes that I post are pure, easy, and full of flavor. There are some ingredients that I just cannot do without in the kitchen: herbs, salt, pepper, garlic, onion and olive oil. To me, this is the basic list that every cuisine all over the world uses. Though the olive oil might be substituted for any other kind of oil. Actually, the same goes for the other ingredients. For instance, any Italian dish contains basil and olive oil, but if you’d cook a Lebanese dish, you will not be able to prevent using parsley. That’s what I love about these ingredients, you can let your creativity go loose and create any dish you want, which can be different each and every time you use another herb, or onion for that matter.

So, kind of got lost in my own trail of thought there. I just wanted to show you that there are no limits in cooking. Learn the basics and put your own twist on them. Thus, the reason that I wanted to create a blog, not only to trigger my own creativity, but also to demonstrate what you can do in a short amount of time. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely adore cooking -why else would I bother with a food blog?- but it is just not feasible for me or my parents to be in the kitchen for hours, or to have to prepare something in the morning. Either we are too busy, or plainly too lazy. In the weekends I let loose. That’s when I try new recipes, new techniques and new ingredients.

Basically, that will be the setup of this blog. I’ll post recipes for the busy weekdays, and recipes for the relaxed weekends. Additionally, I’m going to post tips and information about cuisines, ingredients, and techniques because we all want to know more about what we’re doing, don’t we?
